USS Bataan
The
purpose of this organization is social, patriotic, and educational. It
is to:
- enhance and maintain the friendship
and comradeship of all officers and men who served aboard the USS
BATAAN during any period in which this ship was a commissioned vessel
of the United States Navy.
- represent a living memorial for the
valiant contributions which the USS BATAAN and her crew made toward
maintaining peace and democratic society for each and every American
citizen to enjoy; and
- instill into future generations a patriotic sense of duty to
willingly serve, as the members of the USS BATAAN have served, to
forever preserve the independence and democracy of the United States
of America.
